AI & Machine Learning Engineer Cpl Recruitment are partnering with a rapidly growing, global cyber-security organisation to hire an AI & Machine Learning Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data engineering and cyber security.
You will help design and deliver practical AI-led solutions that improve how complex cyber incidents, investigations and large-scale data sets are analysed.
The role would suit someone with strong hands-on Python and machine learning capability, who is comfortable taking ideas from early exploration through to production-ready solutions.
You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders, translating complex problems into scalable, high-impact AI products.
Candidates must have Irish/EU Citizenship and be based within a commutable distance to Dublin.
Responsibilities Design, build and deploy machine learning, NLP and generative AI solutions for real-world cyber-security and data-analysis use cases.
Develop robust data pipelines to ingest, prepare and analyse structured and unstructured data.
Build LLM-powered applications, including agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented solutions and AI-assisted analytics.
Experiment with and evaluate machine-learning models, with a focus on accuracy, performance, explainability and practical business value.
Collaborate with engineering, cyber-security and leadership teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve operational outcomes.
Support the full AI delivery lifecycle, including data preparation, modelling, testing, deployment, monitoring and documentation.
Present technical concepts and solution outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Keep up to date with emerging AI, machine learning and cyber-security technologies and contribute ideas to the wider technical roadmap.
Requirements
2+ years’ experience in data science, AI engineering, machine learning or a closely related technical area.
Strong commercial Python experience, including data processing and machine learning libraries such as Pandas and scikit-learn.
Experience building data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and working with SQL-based data platforms.
Hands-on exposure to LLMs, NLP, generative AI, prompt engineering or multi-agent orchestration.
Understanding of core machine learning concepts, including model training, evaluation and feature engineering.
Experience working with cloud data and AI platforms; Snowflake and Cortex experience would be highly beneficial.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain AI solutions and their commercial value to senior stakeholders. A degree or MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science or a related discipline would be advantageous.
An interest in cyber security, digital forensics, threat intelligence or incident response would be a strong advantage.
