Full job description

Software Architect – Dublin City (3 days onsite per week)

My client is a well-established multinational market leader in the area of biometric authentication; their products and services has taken off over the past number of years within a market with high spend on software and specifically around security.

Due to continued success of a specific product range, they have engaged IT Search to speak to Software Architects who are and wish to remain hands on across various areas (Development/Cloud/QA/Professional Services). This role will suit senior candidates based in the Dublin area, able and happy to attend the city office three days per week and who are motivated to work across the product, designing the architecture but also being involved in all aspects of the stack to go live and beyond.

*The role: *

  • Define and architect the entire stack of an existing (and future) product, UI to backend Java, AWS deployment and more

  • Liaise with many internal and client functions, ensuring deep understanding of performance requirements and ensuring these are built into the product range

  • Create and maintain complex documentation around each evidence based decision

*Requirements: *

  • 10+ years of postgrad development/architecture experience (4+ years)

  • Hands on strength across microsystems, deep API knowledge, ideally from a backend Java development background and track record of delivering SaaS (preferably Financial Services related and with security/authentication factors), AWS deployment familiarity required

  • Design and architecture experience with Security, Scalability, Reliability and Observability built in as standard

  • Exposure to Agentic AI insofar as it affects usage and implementation of Security/SaaS products

  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to discuss technical areas with a (internal and external) non technical audience

  • Technical leadership a given, mentoring team members and managers
