**Technical Architect **

6 Month (rolling) Contract, Hybrid, South Dublin
About the Company

My client is one of the largest and most successful banks in the world with offices in Dublin. They are a leader in the Fintech industry, working on cutting edge technology that’s shaping the future of finance and investments. They have a number of exciting projects and new developments underway and they are looking to add to the growing teams in multiple divisions.

About the Role

My client is currently looking to add a skilled and experienced Technical Architect to join their EMEA Regulatory Reporting Technology team, to drive the architectural vision and architecture for their technology platform in line with the enterprise technology architecture and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation of the architecture roadmap
  • Work across business and technology to create the solution design and architecture and evolve it based on an emerging backlog
  • Provide technical thought leadership based on experience of building multiple software solutions
  • Contribute to the development of design and technology implementation best practices
  • Look for better ways to solve technical problems and design solutions
  • Ensure architecture is flexible, modular and designed to adapt easily
  • Facilitate solution-driven discussions and lead the design, finding creative solutions
  • Clarify the architecture and assist with system design (where needed) for the development teams to support implementation and resolve any architectural impediments
  • Perform design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g. security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
  • Support the Engineering team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions
  • Educate team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices
  • Build business-technology relationship through aligning business goals and strategy with technology implementation
  • Identifies risks/dependencies that are not easily evident and defines controls needed to resolve/mitigate.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in solution architecture and design across multiple technologies
  • Ability to build strong knowledge of products and services at functional and data level
  • Excellent technical skills (key technologies used: Oracle PL/SQL, Angular, Java, Spring)
  • Good knowledge of emerging technologies and Big Data (Hadoop)
  • Experience with data technologies and understanding of metadata and data lineage concepts
  • Experience of interfacing with 3rd party vendor platforms
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Ability to create reusable components that can be leveraged across the enterprise
  • Strong leader, capable of guiding the technology team to implement technical designs
  • Ability to face off to and build strong relationships with business and technology partners
  • Experience of working within a large organization or financial services company
  • Good communication skills

Remuneration:

  • Generous daily rate between 650-850 per day in line with experience.
