What you'll be doing

Broad, hands-on IT Systems Engineer role supporting users, administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure for a critical national infrastructure organization. Focus on security, reliability, and service. Hybrid in Dublin with remote options after onboarding.

  • Provide technical support to users onsite and remotely, owning incidents and requests through to resolution
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Manage identity and access in Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, including MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, and joiner/mover/leaver processes
  • Build, deploy, and manage Windows endpoints and mobile devices through Intune and KACE
  • Support Windows Server, networking, Azure, and backup services; contribute to business continuity and DR testing
  • Triaging security alerts and applying security controls, patching, and secure configuration standards
  • Automate routine admin with PowerShell
  • Contribute to documentation, ICT projects, and service improvements

Key requirements

Must-have

  • 5+ years’ ICT experience in an enterprise, regulated, government, or similarly complex environment
  • Level 1 and Level 2 support experience in a service desk or enterprise ICT setting
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory
  • Strong Windows 11 endpoint skills, ideally with Intune or a comparable management platform
  • Good working knowledge of Windows Server, networking fundamentals, and security best practice
  • Clear communication skills and patience explaining technical issues to non-technical colleagues
  • ICT-related diploma or degree, or equivalent professional experience

Nice-to-have

  • Microsoft certifications (M365, Identity, Azure, Endpoint or Security)

My client, a leading Irish organisation operating critical national infrastructure, is looking for an experienced ICT Analyst to join the team at their Dublin city centre HQ. This is a broad, hands-on role covering everything from supporting users day to day to administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure and on-premises infrastructure. You’ll be part of an organisation where security, reliability and service truly matter.

What you’ll be doing
