Seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript) to manage backend architecture, infrastructure, reliability, and security. This fully remote role requires strong skills in Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and PostgreSQL, along with a focus on CI/CD and observability.
- Build and maintain backend services with Node.js and TypeScript
- Own AWS infrastructure (Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM)
- Drive technical decisions and engineering best practices
- Improve CI/CD, observability, and platform reliability
Key requirements
Must-have
- 5+ years' backend or full-stack experience with a backend focus
- Strong Node.js skills
- Strong TypeScript skills
- Strong AWS skills
- Strong PostgreSQL skills
- Solid understanding of authentication, permissions, and API security
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and production systems
- Clear communicator who is comfortable taking ownership
Nice-to-have
- Serverless or event-driven architectures
