Full job description

Senior Software Engineer | C# / .NET

  • Build greenfield solutions as part of a major AI transformation programme

  • Join a high-calibre engineering team working on next-generation technology

  • Play a key role in a multi-year programme with real scope to make an impact

A leading global organisation is investing heavily in a multi-year technology and AI transformation programme, building new capabilities from the ground up rather than simply modernising what already exists.

This is an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a highly-calibre, specialised team focused on designing and building new solutions across software engineering and AI. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where engineers are given ownership, expected to solve complex problems, and encouraged to take ideas from concept through to production.

With a strong focus on Agentic AI, RAG and MCP, you’ll be working at the intersection of traditional software engineering and emerging AI technologies — building robust, scalable solutions that can operate in a real-world enterprise environment.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Greenfield from the ground up — design and build new solutions rather than simply maintaining legacy systems.

  • AI at the heart of the programme — work directly with agents, RAG and MCP as the organisation develops its next generation of AI capability.

  • Highly-calibre team — work alongside experienced engineers and AI specialists with a strong focus on engineering excellence.

  • Multi-year programme — join at an early stage with significant runway and the opportunity to shape what comes next.

  • Fast-paced environment — solve challenging problems, move quickly and see your work make it into production.

  • Real ownership — you’ll be trusted to take responsibility for solutions from design through to delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build scalable, production-ready software solutions using C# and .NET.

  • Work on greenfield applications and services within a large-scale AI transformation programme.

  • Build and integrate AI agents into enterprise software solutions.

  • Develop and work with RAG pipelines and AI-powered data retrieval.

  • Build and integrate MCP-based tools and services.

  • Work closely with AI and engineering specialists to turn ideas and prototypes into robust production solutions.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years’ professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on development experience.

  • Strong C# / .NET experience, ideally across modern .NET, APIs and distributed/microservice-based systems.

  • 1–2 years’ hands-on experience building AI agents, with practical experience working with MCP and RAG.
