- Practical experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and data quality frameworks
- Ability to lead and mentor engineers
- Strong grasp of cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Strong communication skills

Lead Data Engineer
Dublin (2 days onsite per week)
Start Date: ASAP
We have partnered exclusively with a client that is seeking a Principal/ Lead Data Engineer on a full time basis in Dublin.
In this role, you will lead the design and build of sailable data solutions, utilizing your experience in data, AI and innovation.
Role Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture and development of high-quality data solutions

Develop robust, production-ready, complex, business-critical data workflows.

Shape data architecture, models, and standards that support analytics, data products, and AI initiatives.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to define data requirements and shape solution design.

Support the team’s growth through mentoring, code reviews, and the adoption of engineering best practices.
Experience Required
-
10+ years experience in the field of data analytics/ data engineering
-
Deep experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and running scalable data platforms.

Advanced skills in Python and SQL, with a strong background in building reliable data pipelines and models.

Practical experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and data quality frameworks.

A demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers, cultivating a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.

Strong grasp of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and best practices in data warehousing.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to turn business needs into clear technical solutions and influence key stakeholders.

Experience developing AI solutions is beneficial
