Key requirements
Must-have
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years' experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Strong background in data engineering, ETL development, and data migration
- Proven experience with SQL performance tuning and optimisation
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Knowledge of source control systems and development best practices
- Excellent communication skills
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Informatica or similar ETL tools
- Power BI or other data visualisation platforms
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and SonarQube

About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing technology team supporting critical investment and operational platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, partnering with stakeholders across international teams to build scalable, high-quality data solutions.
**The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that support business-critical investment functions. You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders, contributing to innovative projects while driving best practices in data engineering and database development. **
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Oracle database solutions.
- Build and enhance data movement, ETL, and integration processes.
- Perform SQL and PL/SQL development, optimisation, and performance tuning.
