Staff / Principal Software Engineer – Identity & AI Security

Dublin | Flexible Hybrid | €115,000–€150,000 + 20% Target Bonus + Stock Options

Help shape a new Identity engineering team at an established cybersecurity product company.

An established global cybersecurity company is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to help define the technical direction of its newly formed Identity team. You’ll build software that helps enterprise customers detect misuse of employee accounts, service accounts, applications and AI agents.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with ownership of architecture, code and technical delivery. You’ll join an experienced engineering team and work closely with Security Research and Data Science to turn emerging security problems into production software.

The opportunity

  • Own delivery from identity telemetry ingestion through to customer-facing detections and security findings.

  • Shape how the product understands identities, permissions, behaviour and risk.

  • Build security capabilities covering human accounts, automated workloads and AI agents.

  • Lead complex designs, contribute production code and mentor engineers.

Your experience

  • Strong experience building and operating production software in a product environment.

  • Hands-on delivery of identity or security capabilities – for example, authentication and authorisation services, identity platforms, secure service or workload access, or security detection systems.

  • Strong distributed systems, cloud architecture and technical leadership skills.

  • Practical understanding of credentials, tokens, permissions and secure access.

You may currently be a Staff or Principal Engineer, or a Senior Engineer already leading complex work across teams.

Experience with Entra ID, OAuth/OIDC, identity telemetry, machine identities or AI-agent security would be valuable.

  • €115,000-€150,000 base salary.
