AI Business Analyst (Tech Product Owner)

Our clients are looking for a talented AI Business Analyst / Product Owner to join the Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, defining and supporting delivery of AI-enabled automation solutions throughout their full lifecycle, from initial feasibility assessment through to production deployment and continuous improvement.

This role acts as the primary interface between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring that AI agents remain aligned to clearly defined business objectives, measurable success criteria and high quality standards. Working closely with business users, architects and software engineers, the Product Owner will help shape innovative solutions that automate complex business processes within a highly regulated enterprise environment.

As an AI Business Analyst / Product Owner your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Lead discovery activities with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-enabled automation and process improvement.

  • Define clear problem statements, measurable business objectives and success criteria for proposed solutions.

  • Perform feasibility assessments in partnership with architects, software engineers and business stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into clearly defined scope, acceptance criteria and delivery objectives.

  • Act as Product Owner throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring solutions remain aligned to business objectives and measurable outcomes.

  • Work closely with architects and software engineers to ensure functional requirements are aligned to technical designs and implementation approaches.

  • Review and validate solution designs, agent instructions, system prompts, workflow definitions and supporting solution artefacts to ensure alignment with business intent.

  • Maintain and prioritise delivery backlogs, balancing business value, technical constraints and delivery priorities.

  • Lead stakeholder workshops, requirement discussions, demonstrations and solution reviews.

  • Coordinate and support user acceptance activities and production readiness reviews.

  • Define test scenarios, quality standards and acceptance criteria for AI-enabled solutions.

  • Perform hands-on functional, behavioural and quality testing of delivered solutions.

  • Support development and execution of automated testing and evaluation approaches.

Must Have Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience working as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or related role within technology delivery organisations.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to communicate confidently with senior business and technology stakeholders.

  • Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, requirement gathering activities and solution discussions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with data to support business analysis, solution validation and decision making.

  • Ability to define measurable business outcomes, success criteria and KPIs.

  • Experience translating business requirements into deliverable scope and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience supporting software development lifecycles within Agile delivery environments.

  • Strong testing and quality assurance mindset.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience operating as a Product Owner within Agile delivery teams.

  • Experience supporting AI, analytics or technology-enabled business solutions.

  • Experience reviewing, refining or designing prompts, agent instructions and conversational workflows.

  • Good understanding of Financial Services, Corporate Finance or other regulated business environments.

  • Experience working with SQL, reporting platforms or business analytics tools.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

  • Experience working with AI agents, Generative AI or related technologies.

  • Experience using Agile delivery tooling including JIRA and Confluence.
