What's in it for You

  • Join a high-profile programme focused on strengthening data security and AI governance across a large enterprise.
  • Take ownership of the organisation's Microsoft Purview capability, delivering real engineering solutions rather than producing strategy documents.
  • Work with modern Microsoft security technologies, helping shape how sensitive data is classified, protected and governed.
  • Collaborate closely with Security, Data, AI, Privacy and Legal teams to deliver practical security controls that have genuine business impact.
  • Be part of a growing area of cyber security as organisations tackle the challenges of securing AI and protecting sensitive data.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement and enhance Microsoft Purview solutions for data protection and information governance.

  • Deliver hands-on data classification, sensitivity labelling, rights management and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls.

  • Build and improve governance controls, remediation workflows and evidence-based reporting for data and AI compliance.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across Security, Data, AI, Privacy and Legal to implement effective security controls.

  • Help strengthen the organisation's approach to AI security, ensuring data is protected as AI technologies continue to evolve.

  • Continuously improve the organisation's overall data security posture through engineering best practice.
    What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years' experience in IT, with at least 4 years focused on Data Security, Information Protection or Security Engineering.

  • Strong hands-on Microsoft Purview implementation experience, with evidence of delivering projects rather than simply supporting existing environments.

  • Experience implementing Data Classification, Information Protection, Rights Management and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

  • Experience building governance controls, remediation processes and compliance reporting.

  • Comfortable working with stakeholders across Data, AI, Privacy and Legal functions.

  • Practical experience using AI technologies and a solid understanding of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, hallucinations and the importance of human validation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with DSPM solutions beyond Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with the EU AI Act.
  • Experience securing AI/ML platforms such as Azure ML, AWS SageMaker or GCP Vertex AI.
  • Relevant certifications such as SC-400, CISSP or Microsoft AI certifications.
    Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to work on one of the fastest-growing areas of cyber security, combining data protection, governance and AI security. You'll play a key role in delivering hands-on engineering solutions that protect critical business data while helping shape how AI is adopted securely across the organisation.
