What you'll be doing

Key requirements
Must-have
- Experience designing and operating large-scale production data platforms
- Strong Python and AWS expertise
- Staff, Principal or Architect-level experience
- Strong data modelling, entity resolution, lakehouse and big-data architecture skills
- Technical experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Experience with technologies such as PySpark, AWS Glue, EMR, Athena or Redshift
- Strong understanding of data governance, PII, lineage, auditability, data contracts, and API/data product design
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Apache Iceberg
- Experience with streaming/serverless architectures
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or large-scale data sharing platforms
- Background in regulated or data-intensive sectors
Experience: Staff, Principal or Architect-level experience designing and operating large-scale production data platforms

I'm currently recruiting for a data architect based in Dublin. This is an initial 6-month contract focusing on hybrid working. Strong day rate available.
About the Role

Lead the architecture of large-scale data platforms across multiple teams, covering data modelling, lakehouse architecture, governance and data delivery.

Set technical direction, develop architecture roadmaps and standards, and influence key engineering decisions across the organisation.

Requirements

Previous experience designing and operating large-scale production data platforms, with strong Python and AWS expertise.
