About the Position
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build and operate a modern cloud platform supporting AI, Machine Learning and Data Engineering workloads.
You'll play a key role in developing self-service capabilities, improving developer experience, automating infrastructure and enabling engineering teams to deploy applications quickly, securely and reliably.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone passionate about cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation and platform engineering.
Key Responsibilities
AI & MLOps
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting AI, Machine Learning and Data Engineering teams.
- Develop internal platform tools that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI-driven automation to optimise engineering workflows and platform operations.
Platform Engineering & Automation
- Build automation solutions that reduce manual operational effort.
- Develop self-service capabilities enabling engineering teams to independently deploy and manage applications.
- Continuously improve developer experience across the platform.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Build and maintain scalable, resilient and secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Optimise cloud performance, reliability and cost management.
Kubernetes & Container Platform
- Design, deploy and manage Kubernetes environments supporting containerised applications.
- Implement secure, scalable orchestration and workload management across the platform.
Security, Observability & Reliability
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
- Continuously improve platform performance, availability and resilience.
- Apply security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Software Engineers, AI Engineers and Data Scientists to deliver platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and promote DevOps, automation and cloud engineering best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and platform capabilities.
Experience/Requirements
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong Kubernetes administration and container orchestration experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning or Data Engineering platforms.
- Strong scripting or programming experience (Python, Bash or PowerShell).
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, platform security and operational best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Remuneration Package
Up to €650 Daily Rate.
