Software Delivery Manager – Dublin City (3 days onsite per week)

My client is a well-established multinational market leader in the area of biometric authentication; their products and services has taken off over the past number of years within a market with high spend on software and specifically around security.

Due to continued success of a specific product range, they have engaged IT Search to speak to Delivery Managers, this role will suit a candidate who is not necessarily hands on but has deep understanding of how each part of the software stack needs to interact in terms of process and delivery to ensure highest quality and timely release to client go live and beyond. If you’re a person who loves solving problems across multiple areas, this could be for you.

This position requires the ability to work concurrently (initially on a specific product range) across Architecture and Development, Deployment, QA, Professional Services, and Product teams to ensure clarity of purpose and with minimal surprises.

*The role: *

  • Liaising across multiple technical and Professional Services departments to manage releases

  • Utilise strong change management skills, changing priority when required and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and onboard

  • Take ownership of issues as they arise to completion, again, communication is key

  • Work closely with Senior Management to streamline all release processes, focusing on QA and be internal and external point of contact

  • Identify, document and address any and all incidents to further improve future processes

  • From time to time, act as internal Release expert with PreSales/Professional Services to ensure customer facing issues are understood and resolved

*Requirements: *

  • 8+ years of SaaS Delivery, ideally within Financial Services, Cybersecurity, focusing on multiple releases concurrently across different geographies and sectors

  • Computer Science Degree and subsequent certifications (Agile for e.g.)

  • Ability to discuss balancing different priorities within various teams with the release date/quality being the main objective, managing expectations for each

  • Knowledge of AWS deployment in particular but cloud based delivery in general is vital

  • Related areas of helpful knowledge includes the Java development environment, areas of DevOps (non hands on knowledge is fine but advantageous to have)
