About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining business-critical software solutions within a high-volume digital commerce environment. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of moderately complex technical initiatives, working independently and collaboratively to solve challenging engineering problems while supporting the growth and success of fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across both backend and frontend technologies.
• Contribute to the development of mission-critical platforms supporting global transaction processing, financial operations, reporting, and compliance-related services.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design through implementation and production deployment.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to end-to-end system design.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain engineering excellence.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product stakeholders, and business partners.
• Deliver high-quality code through continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Build and maintain observability capabilities, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and performance tracking.
• Support and mentor other engineers, helping to drive technical best practices across the team.

Candidate Profile:Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Commercial experience developing applications using JavaScript and PHP.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and end-to-end solution design.
• Experience working in collaborative engineering environments with frequent peer reviews and shared ownership of code.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting.
• Interest in or experience within digital commerce, payments, financial technology, or SaaS environments.

Desirable Experience

• Experience influencing and collaborating with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to empathise, encourage, and drive alignment across teams.
• Experience working within large-scale distributed systems or high-transaction platforms.

Remuneration Package

This role offers a strong daily rate is hybrid, and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
