AI is moving quickly from experimentation into a critical part of how organisations operate — and this is an opportunity to be there at the point where that transition happens.

This is not a role focused on maintaining an established platform or making incremental improvements. You’ll have the opportunity to help define what the platform becomes.

You’ll work at the intersection of AI engineering, platform engineering and emerging agentic technologies, taking ideas from early concepts through to scalable production solutions.

With significant investment behind the AI roadmap, you’ll have the freedom to influence architecture, technology choices and engineering practices while working closely with senior specialists across AI, data science and technology.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of the architecture and evolution of the organisation’s AI platform.

• Build the foundations required to deploy, operate and scale AI agents and ML systems in production.

• Establish robust engineering approaches across deployment, CI/CD, environments, monitoring and reliability.

• Develop and integrate MCP and A2A capabilities to support scalable agentic architectures.

• Influence technical standards and architectural decisions across the wider AI estate.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience across Machine Learning, AI Engineering or Platform Engineering

• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI / multi-agent systems, including A2A and/or MCP.

• Strong AWS and/or Azure experience, ideally within production-grade engineering environments.
