Full job description

Principal AI Platform Engineer | Agentic AI | €750/day

  • Own and build a greenfield AI platform from the ground up

  • Set the technical direction for next-generation Agentic AI

  • Lead from the front — hands-on with architecture, code and production systems

A global financial organisation is making significant investment in the next phase of its AI transformation, moving beyond experimentation to build production-grade AI capabilities that can operate reliably at enterprise scale.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the point where the foundations are being built. You’ll take genuine technical ownership of a greenfield AI platform, shaping the architecture, engineering standards and technology choices that will define how AI is built and operated across the organisation.

You’ll become the senior technical voice within the AI engineering function, working alongside senior AI and data science specialists while remaining firmly hands-on. This is a role for someone who wants to build, influence and own — not simply maintain an existing platform.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Own it from the ground up: Take technical ownership of a greenfield AI platform and shape how it evolves from early-stage innovation

  • Set the technical direction: Your architectural decisions will directly influence the future of the organisation’s AI estate.

  • Stay hands-on: Lead from the front, solving complex engineering problems across architecture, code, infrastructure and production systems.

  • Make a genuine impact: Turn ambitious AI concepts into scalable technology delivering real business value within a global organisation.

  • Enjoy genuine autonomy: Influence the engineering patterns, platforms and approaches used to build the next generation of AI.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the architecture of the production AI platform across agentic and conventional ML systems.

  • Build and evolve the foundations for AI agents, including MCP servers and A2A-based agent communication.

  • Drive production excellence across MLOps/LLMOps, evaluation, monitoring, observability, alerting and reliability.

Key Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience across Machine Learning, AI Engineering or Platform Engineering

  • Hands-on experience building Agentic AI / multi-agent systems, including A2A and/or MCP.

  • Strong AWS and/or Azure experience, with a track record of building and operating production-grade platforms.
