Ready to spearhead a new market expansion and build a top-tier team from the ground up?

We have exclusively partnered with a leading UK travel business on this fantastic opportunity as they are creating a new Engineering team in Dublin and this will be their first expansion outside of the UK market.

I'm looking to speak with experienced Engineering Managers from a development background that will lead a team of 5-6 engineers while driving both technical execution and operational excellence while hiring and scaling a high-performing engineering team. The Irish office will have full ownership on the Inventory side of the platform which includes supplier integrations, inventory management, and booking reliability.

This is a remote friendly opportunity looking for people to come into the office once a fortnight in their city centre location.

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day

Our platform processes supplier connectivity, data acquisition, distribution, and booking workflows to ensure fresh, high-quality travel inventory with minimal latency in a high-traffic environment.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, grow, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software while developing their careers.

  • Technical Strategy: Own the technical architecture for inventory management, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance.

  • Backlog & Product Delivery:

  • Own the team backlog, facilitating technical and product decisions in partnership with

  • Architects,

  • Designers, and

  • Product

  • Managers.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve supplier integrations, enhance data freshness, and streamline booking processes.

  • Engineering Best Practices: Champion standards for operational excellence, from CI/CD pipelines to system monitoring and incident response.

  • Hands-on Contribution: Contribute directly when needed by reviewing code, guiding system design, and tackling complex technical challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading high-performing engineering teams, ideally within high-scale, distributed environments.

  • Core Technical Stack:

  • Strong background in C# .NET (or

  • Kotlin,

  • Scala, or

  • Java) with hands-on experience building cloud-native services on AWS.

  • Infrastructure & Automation:

  • Experience using

  • Kubernetes,

  • Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines for scalable, automated deployments.

  • Data Processing & Architecture:

  • Background in large-scale data processing, internet-scale real-time data workflows, transactional systems, and

  • Graph

  • QL / modern API-driven architectures.

  • Observability & Reliability: Strong focus on monitoring, observability, system uptime, and performance optimization.
